Empower your Teams to Achieve Excellence

How we work

As a senior leader, team leader or business owner you want your people to be fully engaged, highly productive and enjoying the work they do. You want to help them develop professionally and achieve their potential. You want to support their health and wellbeing because you know this underpins all of the above.

The Performance Edge

The Performance Edge works alongside you to uncover challenges within your team culture and identify what’s working well and what needs improving. Together, we’ll design a tailored programme to boost performance, promote engagement, and enhance communication. Our approach focuses on building a cohesive and collaborative culture, empowering your people to achieve excellence as high-performing teams.

We can laser focus on one of our five key modules:  Time Management, Communication, Self-Confidence, Stress Management and Decision Making.

Alternatively, we can develop a combined programme from 2 to 5 of the key areas.

Focus areas can be combined with group and/or individual coaching.

Delivery can be in person, online or hybrid.

Take a look at our client stories about Clare and Adam as examples of how we tailor our programmes to your needs.

Our Modules

This course introduces key NLP principles and techniques to help you improve time management, communication, self-confidence, stress management, and decision-making, fostering personal growth and positive change.

In this session we introduce ourselves and give you an overview of our professional experience. We explain what NLP is and why we are such strong advocates for it in empowering people to unlock their potential, bring about positive change, achieve more success and lead more fulfilling lives.

We outline the structure of the course and give you recommendations on how to get the most benefit from it.

We then go on to share 5 major principles of NLP that we will be referring to throughout the course, including The Four Pillars of NLP which underpin success in achieving positive change and creating excellence.

Awareness of these five principles will really help you in understanding how and why NLP techniques work and in identifying specific challenges you have which you can address during this course.

In this session we will consider the specific challenges people in the group have with time, and the feelings you have about time. We will then explore our different perceptions of time, and you will identify your personal timeline and what this means for you in terms of time management. Lastly, we will work together through a simple technique that you won’t find in business books and is a powerful tool in managing your time more effectively.

In this session we build on our work from the previous week. We address the challenge of procrastination, taking you through a highly effective technique for breaking through it and getting things done. We then introduce a powerful strategy for keeping focused, productive, and on task, so you can use your time well.

In this session we examine the process of communication and how people have different communication styles. We work through some activities that help you get in touch with your own individual communication style and recognise the styles of others. We then introduce and demonstrate a technique that helps you communicate calmly and effectively with others in situations that might be challenging.

In this session we revisit the technique demonstrated in Communication 1. You will then work in pairs to both coach and experience the technique in relation to an appropriate scenario in your own life. In the latter part of the session we bring together all the learning from these two weeks and consider how it will help you communicate better in your work and home life.

In this session we will explore the power of self-talk and how what we say to ourselves in our heads has a massive impact on our lives professionally and personally. We go on to identify limiting beliefs, and how these differ from facts and influence behaviour. We will then introduce and demonstrate an extremely powerful process for shifting unwanted beliefs. This is a 5-step technique and in this session you will work through step one.

In this session we revisit the 5-step technique demonstrated in Self-Confidence 1. You will work in pairs to both coach and experience the next four steps of the technique in relation to a specific limiting belief you want to shift. By the end of this session you will have created a change and will be on the road to embedding a new, more empowering belief to replace whatever was limiting you.

In this session we consider stress, where it comes from and how to manage it. We help you recognise your particular stressors and show you a simple mind management technique that can be used daily to both identify your state of mind and shift it in a positive direction. We go on to introduce and demonstrate one of the most powerful techniques in NLP which can be life changing in regulating your emotional reactions and stress levels. You will then work in pairs to both coach and experience the technique.

In this session we revisit the technique learnt the previous week; we show you how to strengthen its power, and discuss how and when to use it in everyday life. We then explore how and why the way we stand or sit can help us manage stress and increase confidence. Lastly, we guide you in creating your own stress management recipe.

In this session we focus on decisions, good and bad, and how you give yourself the best chance of getting them right. We explore the way our brains work, and how metaphors can help us in decision making. We then introduce and demonstrate a very effective decision-making technique that uses both these elements. You will select a decision you need to make and work through the technique in pairs to both experience and coach it.

In this session we continue to explore the power of metaphors in decision making. We introduce and demonstrate a valuable technique for choosing between two options. You will then select a clear choice decision you need to make and work through the technique to both experience and coach it. At the end of the session we will ask you to think about any questions you have and any techniques you would like to revisit. We will then cover these in Session 12.

In this final session we review all the knowledge and skills covered in the course and explore how it all fits together. We have a ‘Big Quiz’ so you will realise just how much you have learnt. We then answer your questions and revisit any techniques you have requested to consolidate them for you. We will then give you some key resources and recommendations to help you use your NLP skills moving forward.

Each programme is tailored to your needs, following a free consultation with us. The cost will therefore vary.

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, which is a set of tools and techniques that are extremely effective for self-improvement, and coaching.

Senior leaders, managers and team members. The programmes work particularly well with whole teams to significantly improve their performance.

Courses can take place in-person or online, or a mixture of both. During our free consultation, we will advise on which modules are right for you, and whether one-to-one coaching should be included.

To ensure the programme has the desired impact, it will always include an introductory session, which is a half-day workshop, and a wrap-up session at the end, also half a day. Each module is one day, or two half days. There are five modules to choose from, and the selected modules could be spread over a period of up to six months.

There are five modules which cover challenges we know affect working adults on a regular basis. These are: time management, communication, i.e. making yourself understood, self-confidence, stress management and decision making. Participants will learn some techniques that come from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) that we know are easy, effective, and potentially life-changing. For more information, see our Course Modules

Sessions generally consist of a little teaching and discussion, a demonstration of a technique, an explanation of how it works, and then participants have a go in pairs. There are recaps every session, and we love to throw in a fun quiz to keep people on their toes!

We have delivered these programmes several times and all the participants have found it valuable, and in many cases, life changing. We measure the results using a ‘before and after’ questionnaire. Results are confidential, but we can tell you that in every case, there is an improvement in the areas covered for every single participant to date. But don’t take our word for it.
